Insulation Services Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation, Allison Park, PA

Our customer located in Allison Park, PA had various moisture and smell issues in their home due to ground water trapped beneath the crawl space especially after heavy rains the soil would become saturated.  Our solution to these moisture problems was a CleanSpace system which consists of a sump pump in the low spot of the crawl space to collect water and pump it outside. Smartsumps consists of the sump pump with an air tight lid and alarm that sounds in the event of a pump failure or plumbing leak, pumps the water up from underneath the house through white drain line and away from dwelling.  Drainage matting is installed over the dirt floor which creates an airspace for water to flow and provides a thermal break. We then spray foamed the rim joists and installed 2" SilverGlo insulation on the interior walls along with the white clean space liner which is sealed with mechanical  fasteners to the walls and spiked to the floor.  The end result is warmer floors upstairs with much less humidity and moisture, eliminating the musty odors.
